The Kindness of Strangers

Kindness

So… we are all on a journey. We are at different stages in our lives. We are taking different paths. Some of us know where we are going. Some of us think we know where we are going. Some of us know where we are going, but don’t really want to go Some of us think we are lost, but yet right around the corner is the answer to many of our questions. It’s exciting in a way isn’t it?

We travel alone… we travel with another… we travel in groups. Although in many ways we never travel alone. Even if we feel we are alone there tends to be someone with us…and at the very least we meet others along the way.

In a recent message from Mary she wanted to let us know that during our travels…even for those of us who are incredibly focused, and especially for those of us who feel incredibly lost she wanted to remind us to be kind to those who we meet during our travels.

Being kind to others is an amazing way to spread positive energy. It’s an amazing way to have an impact on others and help others heal. It’s an amazing way to help heal ourselves and increase our own positivity, energy and vibrations.

Even as our journey takes us through WordPress feel free to be positive with each other. How many times have you stumbled upon a blog where someone is in pain, someone is depressed, or they just seem like they need a bit of compassion. Reach out to them. Let them know that what they are feeling is ok…let them know the journey will continue…let them know there can and will be happiness and love.

Make it a habit. Share your peace, share your love, and share your positive energy.

…and this is according to Mary!

  1. So very true! That is one thing we have control over isn’t it? Just being kind. It is a wonderful loving force that we can give to others. And when we receive it, it is an elixir, a balm, a wonderful energy. Thank you for this reminder!

  2. I visited your blog to thank you for liking “Swan,” but I would also like to thank you for this reminder to be kind to others. I think most of us would like to have some positive energy come our way, especially in these stressful times. 🙂

  3. I just stopped by to thank you for looking around my blog and liking my photo of the sea. I really like the things you have to say here. Not so much about Mary, I’m an atheist, but you have a lot of really interesting stuff here. I think you might like my blog too. I’m just getting started 😉

  4. Wouldn’t the world be so much better if we remembered this all the time. I try but there are days……:) Thanks for the “like” on “theworminmyapple.com”.

  5. Thank you for your kindness in liking our blog! We are newbies and appreciate it. 🙂 Also, yes and yes! Kindness is so often the language of love and love is the answer. As that song goes; “what the world needs now, is love sweet love”. I’ve even noticed here in Niagara, being two international cities, the spirit of competition weighs heavily. I believe we have a golden opportunity to be ambassadors of love, encouragement and respect in this microcosm of the world, in such a gorgeous setting. So, gong against the grain, we lift up both cities and countries, from the American perspective. I remember as a young woman, living in NF, Canada, two kids were screaming across the gorge to the American side. They were issuing vulgarities and disparaging remarks. I immediately said to them “Stop it! You make me ashamed to be Canadian”. (Though I really wasn’t).Then I hollered over “Sorry”! I’m not sure the Americans heard any of this, though they too were yelling. Little did I know one day I’d be be living in America, with my lovely American family and be in a position to create goodwill,l as I find myself in today.,The season of peace on earth and good will among men will soon be upon us and I aim to place myself among the chosen.

    • Thank you for the comment 2chicks2go! That was a great story:-) I think most people become passive when it comes to calling people out when they are being mean, or rude. I like what you did and I’m sure it taught those children a nice little lesson:-) I hope you manage to get back to Newfoundland every now and then. It’s such a beautiful and colourful province. I have fond memories of looking out at Cape Spear and seeing several pods of whales feeding off the coastline…it was an amazing connection with nature. Peace be with you.

  6. Dear Mary, I love your philosophy of life, and at such a young age. I wish I could have understood then what you seem to understand now, that life is more than a journey, though it is that. It is also and adventure into knowingness, into compassion and love, expressed in the way we live, not just in what we say. You seem to be walking the walk. And, I love your webpage background. I am just a beginner on blogging. Perhaps I’ll learn to provide visual beauty for my blogs.

  7. Every time I go shopping I aim to compliment someone on their appearance; what they are wearing or their smile, hair, shoes, jewellery. It always creates a smile and often leads to conversation. It only takes a few minutes to lighten x\someone else’s day.
