Today’s message from Mary is all about respect. Recently somebody showed up at my door looking for support for the atrocities going on against gay people in Uganda. Scott and I couldn’t believe that in this day and age such things as killing a gay activist. Uganda recently put an anti-gay/lesbian law into place. The Huntington Post recently posted an article on this law. Here is the link. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/scott-de-buitleir/we-cant-be-complacent-uganda_b_4868552.html. Mary message today is to respects the lifestyles of others including the Syrian refugees. Many years ago when I was a practicing Catholic our priest (speaking on behalf of the local Archbishop) during the sermon wanted us to write a letter against gay marriage to our government. That was the final straw for me. I never went back to church. What I have learned in my many years of spirituality study is that God, Jesus and Mary would have never tolerated or practiced anything but love to the anyone gay. Things got corrupted over the years. So I was right to walk out of church those many years ago. So please treat everyone with respect and if you can do anything to help what’s going on in Uganda or anywhere else do it.
