As wise as “eye” am

Looking for clarity

Looking for clarity

In a recent message from Mary an image came to me of an eye.  The meaning was centered around wisdom.  Many of us struggle with issues in our lives…and of course just as many of us throw caution to the wind and put minimal thought into the challenges we face…quickly making decisions and using stubbornness as an excuse not to waver from our position…but Mary wanted to remind us that we have an internal mechanism that we can use…look inward…search your heart.

If you are struggling for answers take the time to look inward to help guide you through your inner turmoil…use your internal wisdom to help navigate yourself through the barriers in your mind and preconceived conclusions that will hinder your ability to think clearly and successfully resolve your problems…the thoughts that paralyse you…look to your heart to do what is right and use your internal wisdom to help solve your problems…be truthful with yourself.

And for those who are quick to decide, or tend to lock into a position more so out of principle…fearing that changing your opinion or altering your point of view is a sign of weakness…look inward…think about the big picture…small battles are easier to give up knowing that the greater good is at stake…leave your ego at the front door and strive to be more selfless…look to your heart to tap into your wisdom…do this over your need to win, or your need to be right.

…we all have this ability…it’s something that gets better over time…learn to rely on it…learn to trust it…and learn to exercise your mind’s eye.

…and this is according to Mary!

What’s going through your mind?

Missing Summer

We all have things on our mind. Some days are better than others…we have less concerns, we have less to dwell on…but other days can be overwhelming…we can get bogged down with our troubles…our troubles can easily compound and multiply in our minds…taking over…consuming our thought processes to the point we are living in that one place…it could be fear…it could be pain …it could be depression. This can be very stressful.

Mary wanted to remind us that we need to pull our hearts into this process…let your heart share the burden and help you work though your problems…go to the heart for comfort…go to your heart for clarity…use your heart to communicate…use your heart to reconnect with those who are important to you…your friends…your loved ones…the important people and things in your life…this will help dilute your pain…it will help you find solutions or coping strategies…it will help put things in perspective and give you some peace of mind back…use the love in your heart to help you heal and help connect with others.

Are we being Snowed?

Covered in ice

Many of us have kind hearts.  We see events that happen around the world…or there are causes near and dear to our hearts because love ones have been effected or impacted in one way or the other.  Most of us can quickly name a charity, or a relief effort without too much thought.  Helping, caring and loving are all part of who we are…so we like to give…it makes us feel good…it makes us feel like we are making a difference…this is a good thing.

In a recent message from Mary she wanted us to think about the way we help and who we help…she wanted us to do some research…there are organizations out here that on the outside look amazing, but on the inside are finely tuned business units with the mission statement of helping others, but with the business practices of helping themselves first.  CEO’s of many of these charities are making six figure salaries and living in the lap of luxury, meanwhile only pennies of each dollar raised will actually go to the individuals who really need the funds.

I’m sure we have all heard the stories of major fundraising after a major natural disaster, or incident, only to find out that a year or more later the funds still haven’t made it to the people in need, yet the people in control are still being paid and still spinning the wheels of progress…or the money has simply been diverted.

So when it comes to charity, do you homework, if you are digging deep into your pocket make sure you are digging deep into the background of the agency who you are entrusting with your love, care and kindness.  Here are a few supporting links:

A Splash of Life

A Splash of Life

What does water represent to you?

Water is life.  Water represents the ebb and flow of life…it represents balance…it represents purity…it represents energy.  Without water there would be no life, or at least not the life that we know.  For those living in the Northern Hemisphere you may have recently experienced water in the form of snow…so many of us had the opportunity to shovel life:-)

In a recent message from Mary she wanted to remind us of the importance of water.  What it represents…how important it is and how fragile it can be.  Sometimes we take it for granted. For many of it seems to be all around us, and plentiful, but yet at the same time it is far from abundant. Think of the toxins that surround us and how easy it is for those toxins to enter our water supply. It kind of reminds me of the Rime of the Ancient Mariner “Water, water everywhere, but not a drop to drink.”

So she wanted to remind us to take care of our water supply.  Look at our day to day habits.  Try to conserve what we have, try to reduce the chemicals and toxins we use that could easily seep into our water systems…the products we use to clean with…think about the things we pour down the drain…what are we throwing away that could leach into ground water…are we opting for convenience over environment…keep in mind how fragile the environment really is.  Love our water supply…love the earth…love each other.

Positive Energy – Where do you find it?

Enjoy your walk!

Enjoy your walk!

We all face negativity…maybe at work…maybe at home…maybe with friends…certainly in the media. When was the last time you heard a “good” news story…or when was the last time you watched a movie or show that didn’t have violence or negativity embedded in there somewhere?

So what can we do to recharge ourselves and counteract negative energy?  Mary wanted to remind us that embracing nature is a quick and easy fix that can have you feeling right as rain in no time.  Just taking a walk in a nature park, or on a trail…getting a little bit of earth under your feet can lift your vibrations almost instantly.

Open all of your senses to the experience…let your eyes take in the colours; the organic shapes; the wispy flow of the landscape; the perfect imperfections found in nature. Let your feet feel the crunching of the leaves; the crunching of freshly packed snow; the grittiness of dirt, rock or sand beneath your feet or between your toes.  Breath in the beauty of nature…each season has its unique blend of aromas that can take us back to a positive time in our lives. Listen to the waves, the tricking water, the wind, the birds and animals that are close by, listen to the positive energy that the earth can provide.

Can you feel your vibrations rising already? Can you feel the negativity melt away and a more positive energy taking over your body and soul?  Can you feel your blood pressure dropping and your outlook changing?   Sure you can:-)

Take advantage of the world around you.  Take that extra trip that gets you out of the city.  Take those extras few minutes to stop and embrace nature that may be in your own backyard.  Do it for you…do it for those you love…do it for your heart…do it for your soul…and share the experience with those you love and of course share your positive energy…it’s contagious!

Positively Delightful

Choose your path

In a recent message from Mary she had a question.  What do you do with negative energy?  It’s all around us isn’t it?  It’s in the news, it’s in the media… we have friends, family and co-workers who love to vent, and love to complain.  But what do you do with that energy?  Do you entertain the energy?  Do you feed it?  Do you add to it? Do you allow it to grow?  It’s easy to do isn’t it?

Mary wanted to remind us that we have choices when dealing with negativity.  We can do a few things.  We can defuse the negativity by trying to turn the conversation into a positive one…or at least neutralize the negativity; we can have that honest conversation and remind the individual that they are spreading a negative message and share with them the impact it has on others…most people don’t realize how negative they really are; or we can simply walk away from the conversation and distance ourselves from the negativity ensuring that the negative energy at least doesn’t spread to us.

These are just a few recommendations you can try…we know there are more…feel free to share

Positive Energy Pet Therapy

Happy Kitty

We had a nice visit from Mary and she passed along a series of messages centered around energy and breaking the cycle of negativity.  The last recommendation she passed along made me smile the most, so I thought I would start at the end.

One of the best ways to break the cycle of negative thinking is to connect with a pet!  Kitty started to meow and hopped up beside me just as we were finishing up, and I could instantly feel warmth and love in my heart. There was no judgement, there were no negative thoughts…there was just love, joy, companionship…and a warm purring bundle of fur. “C” used her purring ball of fur to heal after she became separated.  Her Kitty provided her with comfort and caring … Kitty intuitively knew that she needed to take care of “C” and knew exactly when to snuggle up to reduce her pain.

So Mary wanted to remind us right off the bat to connect with a pet when we are down, when we hurt, or when our energy is being drained…because they can instantly lift our vibrations and take us to a more positive place!

Where do you look?

Winter Walk

In a recent message from Mary she showed me the horizon. It’s as if I was looking out of a window and in the distance I could see a mountain ridge…but it was as if she wanted me to look beyond the horizon. So the question became…where do you look? Do you look inward to your heart, so your heart can tell you what’s beyond the horizon… or do you look outward letting your surroundings control your heart? By looking inward you will see a clearer picture, you will find love, you will find caring, you will find peace, you will find truth. By looking outward you can become confused and disoriented…your truth can become clouded and manipulated by your surroundings…your vision can be compromised by the confines of an artificial reality.

So look inward…continue to find love, continue to share that love and make the world a better place.

A bird in the hand…

Blue Jay

…So in a recent message from Mary she connected me with the sounds of nature…as I closed my eyes and started the channeling process I could hear the birds in the garden…the playful and lyrical chirping noises of the various birds that live in the neighbourhood…the chickadees…the blue jays…the doves…the robins…the starlings…they all seemed to arrive at the same time and strike up a chorus.

Their music was beautiful…and what an amazing way to connect with nature. It was a great opportunity to let go of my thoughts and troubles and embrace the natural sounds that this earth provides us on a daily basis… if we just allow ourselves to listen. Replace those man made sounds that pollute the airwaves with what nature can provide. It’s healthy, it’s therapeutic, it reduces stress and helps us focus and connect with our hearts.

..so take a few minutes this weekend and throughout the week…turn off the music…leave your mobile devices behind…disconnect from the sounds of traffic and the noise in the city…find a nice quiet place to walk and listen to the sounds of nature…listen to the birds…the ducks…the waves…the babbling brook…the winds…the sounds of crunching leaves below your feet…and take a loved one to enjoy it with you. I guarantee time will stand still!!!

Mood Check

Making the connection

Making the connection

How are you feeling today? Are you feeling a little lost? A little distant perhaps? It seems to be going around.

In a recent message from Mary she wanted to let us know that she recognises these feelings in many of us and she wants to provide a bit of guidance. Look inside…look to your heart…focus…search for what you know is right…search for love…search for truth…search for kindness…focus on the things that will allow you to connect with yourself, connect with the Earth…connect with love.

Look for ways to ground yourself by going barefoot in nature. Grounding allows you to connect with nature and absorb electrons from the Earth through the soles of your feet, which help your mood and help you heal.

Look for ways to distance yourself from the distractions that seem to take over that part of us that really knows what happiness looks like. Too often we fill the void, and moments of silence with useless stimulation when we should be taking that time to connect with our hearts and produce a higher vibration…produce love…and share that love. Instead we chase those shiny objects that divert our attention from the core of who we really are, and from our real purpose…which of course is…we are beings of truth…beings of love…with the unlimited ability to care for others and make this a better world.
