Mary’s message today deals with Depression. Mary knows many of you suffer from it and she wants to help you. She wants you to look for the light. With Depression you tend to focus on the dark but Mary says you should focus on the light and the positive in your life. Look for the good things in it. Let go of negative memories and focus on what is good in your life. I don’t have Depression myself but have had such a hard life that I too have to focus on the positive things that have happened to me– music, a beautiful partner later in life and a few good friends. I would never get out of bed if I focused on the negative things that have happened to me. The other thing I do is to not think about how I feel and just get out of bed dragging my feelings behind me. I heard that technique many years ago on the radio. Another thing that has helped my mood is staying off white sugar. Too much sugar can cause mood swings. Years ago I read a book called Sugar Blues. White sugar can be quite dangerous. Scott and I treat ourselves on special occasions with treats like cake. Stevia is a wonderful natural sweetener we use. Also a deficiency in certain vitamins can cause depression. Dr. Mercola at http://mercola.com has lots of the latest info on nutrition. Getting enough sunshine safely which certain helps depression. We follow Dr. Mercola’s sunshine protocol. Get plenty of exercise too. Your body releases feel good chemicals called endorphins. Get out into Mother Nature too as she heals us. Walk barefoot on the ground called grounding. A good night sleep is very helpful. For occasional sleepless nights try Melatonin which is natural. We use sleep music with ocean sounds and Scott has a moonbeam clock which wakes him up naturally. The Hollow Earth Network has lots of new natural healing supplements which I have just started on two products myself. We have a link on this site. One more thing Scott and I take drops of oxygen put into water. It can help with your mood to and help lots of ailments.
Today’s message from Mary is to respect others. Scott and I have a great example of this. Just this past week we were at our favourite beach just about to walk barefoot and ground with Mother Earth. Scott and I both witnessed somebody with their dog who had let it do its business. The owner quickly covered it with sand. No picking it up. This was not a remote beach but a very crowed one filled with babies, children and adults all the time. And it was not where the tide would for sure clean it up. What if someone including us walked on it or a baby crawled on it. I couldn’t believe he was just going to leave t. So I rushed over and told him I saw him do it. He said he was going to get it later. I really didn’t believe him. I should have stood there until he did. But Scott said let it go and let’s enjoy our walk. We will never know if he really came back later to clean it up. He certainly did not mark it with stones and it was growing darker. How disrespectfully he was. He was young but that is no excuse. Scott being a dog owner in the past said sometimes you forget to bring a bag but you ask another dog owner for a bag. I would have dug through by purse for tissue and then threw it in the garbage. I just would never be that rude and disrespectful to people. And even when we walked back we had to walk barefoot in the area were we both knew it was. And Mary’s message today is pretty simple please be respectful to each other.
Continuing in our series the final Element we need is Fire. Think of a time when you have sat by a fire. It’s very hypnotic isn’t it? Take advantage of these opportunities since they can be rare. Sitting by a Fire is a good way to focus on your issues and solve your problems. Be open with your Fire, tell your story to your flames to help yourself focus.
Fire is also a good way to connect with your heart. There is a connection between fire and passion. Fire can be all consuming and so can passion, so use Fire as a way to connect to your heart and concentrate on your passions. There is an intensification to Fire so use this intensity to raise your vibrations and increase your healing energy.
Since having access to a controlled fire can be limited to such things as woodstoves, fireplaces, fire pits, and bon fires on a beach, don’t forget about the Fire that burns in the sky every day. We need the Fire of the sun energy as well. In all cases don’t forget about fire safety (keep yourself, your property, and the forests safe at all times) and this includes the use of safe sun protocols. We follow Dr. Mercola’s advice so sunscreen safety, which allows for bare skin at appropriate times. We have a link to his site.
So safely embrace the power of this element, use it connect to your heart, use it to heal, use it to work through our problems and raise your vibrations.
This week Mary is continuing her messages on the four elements we need and today is teaching us about Air. Remember we are made from Mother Earth so she can help and heal us. It is so important for us to get outside and breathe in fresh air. We spend too much time indoors in our homes, offices and malls. Mary wants us to make a concerted effort to get outside to breathe in fresh air. Take advantage of windy days to clear out our minds and connect with our heart to raise our vibration and solve any problems. It is very invigorating and therapeutic—Scott and I do it all the time.
Continuing on from our blog about the four elements we need . . . today is water. The purity of water can help raise our vibration and energy. Find the time to be near water. Make sure you include walks near bodies of water or go swimming to heal and raise your vibration. And when you hydrate yourself make sure you stay away from sugary substances. Keep it pure and clean. And finally a reminder to make sure you take care our oceans, lakes, streams and brooks. Take care of Mother Earth.
Today Mary wants to elaborate a bit more on last week’s message connecting with the 4 elements of Mother Earth. Today she wants to focus on the element of Earth. It is very important to walk barefoot to ground and to connect with Mother Earth. This is so healing. Also if you have a problem go for a walk in the woods and see if your answer will come to you. Because we are made from Mother Nature she can help us with our problems. Mary also wants you to get your hands dirty by digging in the dirt. Find something to plant even a small area of garden space nothing fancy just to get that connection with Mother Earth. This is very healing for us too. Try if after a stressful day. Also make sure you care for Mother Earth as well. Be sure to use natural products. There is lots of natural advice on the internet. We had a wasp issue recently. We would have left it because Wasps are very beneficial but it was just above a spot where we sit all summer. We used orange oil. Our favourite natural gardener is Howard Garrett. He is very generous and gives away his recipes for free.
This is a short message tonight from Mary mainly for the people with snow still covering the ground. Mary wants you to go outside and feed the birds who cannot get their spring food source. Robins cannot dig for worms if the ground is still covered with snow and other birds cannot get their grubs and berries easily. After a hard winter they are extra hungry. Scott and I were out tonight putting birdseed and raisins down wherever we could find a bare spot of grass that had melted snow. Also we put the food onto the park benches and anything with concrete. My sister gets day old bread and peanut butter and makes sandwiches for the birds and wildlife. She also makes suet. There are lots of recipes online. Tomorrow Scott will be shoveling a small patch of my backyard to clear it of snow so the robins can dig for worms. It is only a temporary situation caused by the extra late snow fall we have had in some areas. Mary wants us all to do what we can to help and thanks you in advance.
Where do I begin. We have had a rough winter here. We even had more snow last night here–quite a surprise again. I know Mary has this message for us specifically and our other friends out there still dealing with winter. As spring develops and winter finally bids us farewell Mary wants us to focus on appreciating the positive aspects of the spring season such as the beauty of a new spring flower. Don’t be so bogged down with what has happened in winter that you forget to enjoy the positive aspects of spring and the rebirth of Mother Earth and us as her children. The flowers are from my garden last year. The snow will eventually melt and we will see the beauty of this year’s blossoms.
A while back we were just finishing a nature walk in a city park when we noticed a family waiting with a couple of helium balloons about to be launched into the sky. We were shocked that anyone in this day would actually use those horrible things knowing they end up polluting the ocean and choking the wildlife that live there. So of course we confronted them as they were doing it. They had smaller children with them so we did it as very peacefully. Turns out they were celebrating the loss of a loved one. We told them we were so so sorry for their loss but what they were doing was wrong. The man said it was only a seagull. I didn’t think of it then but I should have said how does your loss make it ok to create another loss– a duck or seagull. Hopefully next year they will find a different way to commemorate their loss. Mary’s message today is to protect Mother Earth by reducing the things we throw away. Watch what we consume. So I thought of this story.
Mary’s message today is about the sun. We get a lot of energy from the sun. It is very healing and will make you feel positive and happy. Don’t be afraid of it. I have always loved the sun even when the doctors were telling us to stay out of it. I intuitively knew how could something that felt so good so beautiful be bad for us. So I enjoyed the sun my entire life. Dr. Mercola (mercola.com) has lots of great info on summer sunshine protocol for different skin types. He says to find a natural sunscreen that protects from both UVA’s and UVB’s, He also says there is some research showing that toxic sunscreens may even cause cancer. In our neck of the woods it is winter but don’t let that stop you. Scott and I get out every weekend to enjoy Mother Nature. The sunny days in the winter are the best because you appreciate l the feeling of the sun so much more. We dress appropriately and just lap up the sunshine. You feel so great afterwards.
